Amanda Kelly -

Hello, I’m the manager at Andover Young Carers and I am responsible for making sure everything runs well and everyone stays safe. I have worked for many years in the voluntary and public sector in several roles managing services for children, families, and young people.
I work with a great team of staff and volunteers at AYC and enjoy seeing the range of activities and services we run to support young carers and their families.

I enjoy playing netball regularly, cycling and walking, and I am an avid reader.

Sam Saxby -

Hi, my name is Sam, I am the Administration Support Officer at AYC.

Previously I have held various roles within Administration and Finance teams, they are roles that I really enjoy.

Outside of work I enjoy watching my son play football and love spending time with my grandchildren (they keep me young at heart). I also spend lots of time with friends and enjoy the fresh air whilst out walking with our dogs.

Ali Pascalidis -

I have been fundraising for AYC since 2018, seeking funding from trusts and foundations, individual donors and companies, so that AYC can continue to support the young carers of Andover and the surrounding area. I also manage the charity’s communications, raising the profile of young carers and the amazing work AYC does. I have worked in fundraising and communications for many years, for charities, arts organisations and in education. 

When my 4 rescue cats and very large rescue mountain dog are not demanding my attention, I enjoy gardening, renovating furniture, reading and making chutney.

Deirdre Lambden -

Returning to work at Andover Young Carers is like coming home. It is a pleasure to help support Young Carers and this is my passion. I am pleased to bring added experience from roles in Family Support and Office Management to the position.

My role as Co-ordinator involves my direct support of our young people as well as working with colleagues to help co-ordinate the overall delivery. I am enjoying re-connecting with the young carers and families I know and meeting all the new faces.

In my spare time I love to get outdoors to walk and spot local wildlife. I also enjoy theatre, dance classes and a snuggle in with my cats reading a good book.

Sarah Taylor -

Hello, my name is Sarah and I am the Activities Worker at AYC.

My role involves helping to create and plan activities for After School Club sessions to support the Young Carers.

I was an activity co-ordinator in my previous role and my jobs have always involved working with and being around people.

I am a huge animal lover and used to foster for a charity that rescued dogs, primarily from Romania. I have two young Romanian rescue dogs myself and am also a volunteer for the Cinnamon Trust.

Joe Osborne -

Hi everyone! My name is Joe and I am the new Support Worker at AYC.

I’ve chosen this role because I want to be a positive influence in young people’s lives. I have first hand experience in being a carer and I understand the challenges this can represent.

I am a musician, football fan and advocate for all things creative.

I am looking forward supporting young people in our local community
