During term time After School Clubs are held at our bungalow in Admirals Way. These clubs are a fantastic opportunity for young carers to relax, and enjoy the company of other people in a similar situation. The trusty AYC minibus is used to pick up young carers from most local schools, and can also drop them home if pick-ups are not possible.
In the school holidays we offer some relaxed drop-ins at our centre, with children from different age groups coming along to enjoy the garden and take part in games and activities. This service is vital for young carers, as school holidays without the support of school and friends can be very long and lonely. We also organise fun outings during the holidays, which have included beach trips, a visit to Marwell Zoo, swimming, trampolining and paddleboarding in recent years.
