June is a time to celebrate and thank volunteers across the country recognising all their hard work, commitment and time given to help others.
At Andover Young Carers we have a team of volunteers that help us to provide a fantastic range of services for young carers and their families.
We have a team of volunteers that help us maintain our garden, planting, mowing and cutting back the hedges and trees to allow young carers the full use of our outdoor space.
We have volunteers that help us in the kitchen, preparing healthy nutritious meals for young carers to enjoy at all our after-school club sessions.
We have a team of volunteers who drive the AYC minibus, collecting young carers from school and dropping them home again after club. Our volunteer drivers also take us out and about enjoying trips and activities in Andover and further afield.
We also have a team of volunteers who help us run our young carers club sessions. Talking and listening to young carers, taking part in games and activities, and supporting young carers to get involved.
AYC is managed and run by a team of volunteer trustees, giving up their time to enable the charity to employ staff and provide safe quality services to young carers in Andover.
During National Volunteers week this June we would like to thank all our volunteers at Andover Young Carers.
