Hi, my name is Laura and I have just started as a Support Worker with Andover Young Carers.
I have really enjoyed getting to meet and chat with all the young people- building relationships and helping them to flourish and see how amazing they are!
I have also enjoyed getting to meet families and see how we can care for them- giving them a safe place to talk.
I wanted to work for AYC so I could make a difference in the local community- to provide a service that supports, encourages, and enables young people to see their potential as well as give them respite from their day-to-day caring responsibilities. I also wanted to make a holistic difference to families and show them that there are services and people who are passionate about helping them to thrive.
I am a mum to two young boys and, along with my husband, we enjoy going for walks, exploring the outdoors, and watching movies. I also love to play football and keep fit when I can!
